Psychotherapy Practice

. About Jennifer I am originally from Newfoundland, Canada and spent most of my growing years as an actor and singer. In 1994 I received a degree in classical voice and after teaching and performing for a few years, decided to move to California. I subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from California State University, Northridge and worked for several years as a trainee and MFT intern in various therapeutic environments before receiving my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I relocated to Eugene in 2006 and am now a Licensed MFT in the state of Oregon. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups and have experience treating people who suffer from a variety of issues that include depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship impasse and eating disorders. I worked for a year and a half as a primary therapist at RainRock, a residential treatment facility in Springfield for women with eating disorders. I left that position in June of 2008 to focus on my private practice. In my personal time, I regularly practice yoga and am an avid hiker, mountain biker and rock climber. I love to read about a wide variety of subjects and am dedicated to staying current on the latest research in my field. I am continuously looking to expand my therapeutic skills and recently did some additional graduate work in the area of Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica in California.
